The Seventh International Congress of Food Science and Technology (VII CICYTAC) seeks to consolidate what has been done in the six previous editions through presentations of high scientific-technical value to contribute to the development of new foods and technologies in production processes of this sector.

In this sense, CICYTAC 2018 aims to:

1. Promote a discussion, exchange of experiences and update of new scientific and technological advances in the area of foods at national, regional and international levels.
2. Strengthen the link between organizations in the System of Science, Technology and Innovation with the sector of goods and services production, based on the convergence of strategic interests.
3. Encourage the design and implementation of programs and projects that respond to needs and productive and social demands related to food, in close coordination with organizations, nationally and internationally.

4. Develop actions to raise awareness, promote and encourage the coordination of interagency efforts to produce and market better quality and security food, meeting demands of domestic and international markets. Previous editions were held in 2004, 2006, 2009, 2012, 2014 and 2016 with an excellent impact, both in quantity and quality of presentations, as in the number of attendees.

Official languages: Submissions may be in English and Spanish. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided (English – Spanish and vice versa) in the plenary sessions and other core activities.
