YAM, KIT KEITH L.

Cook College, Rutgers University, Estados Unidos. Kit Yam is Full Professor of the Department of Food Science at Rutgers University. He also served as Graduate Program Director of the same department for ten years. He earned his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Michigan State University. His research is focused on developing innovative packaging technologies including controlled release packaging and intelligent packaging to improve food safety, food quality, and sustainability. His research has been funded by the Department of Defense, USDA, NSF, NASA, SBIR, and the industry. He is Editor-in-Chief of The Wiley Encyclopedia of Packaging Technology, Associate Editor of Food Packaging and Shelf Life, Associate Editor of Journal of Food Processing, author of a textbook in food packaging, author of a book on emerging food packaging technologies, and author of over 150 journal articles and book chapters. He has delivered 18 presentations as keynote speaker or main lecturer in international conferences and over 100 presentations as invited speaker in conferences and meetings. He has also many years of experience serving as a consultant for the food and packaging industry, as well as some experience as an expert witness.
